Lea Afia is the proprietress and spiritual herbalist behind Rites of Wellness, LLC, a holistic wellness company formerly known as Toussaint Tinctures Apothecary. She is also the founder of Rites of Wellness Herbal Arts Academy, a platform dedicated to empowering individuals through the art and science of herbal healing.
Lea’s calling to healing began early in life, as she intuitively connected with health, wellness, and community. With a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, she furthered her journey by adopting sensual movement and herbalism as foundational self-care practices. Her commitment to learning led her to study at The Herbal Academy, become a certified vaginal steam practitioner through the Peristeam Hydrotherapy Institute, and graduate from the Sacred Vibes Spiritual Herbalism Apprenticeship.
Passionate about healing and transformation, Lea began with her own personal journey and has since dedicated her life to empowering others. Through her wellness studies, sensual movement, and healing art practices, she inspires individuals to rediscover their purpose and embrace self-love. Her work is guided by the belief that joy and pleasure are vital components of healing.
As an advocate for community wellness, Lea is an active member of Herbalists Without Borders, United Plant Savers, and the American Herbalist Guild. She also supports initiatives for civil rights, health equity, and food justice.
Rites of Wellness, LLC is an apothecary, academy, and holistic wellness provider focused on using ancestral and contemporary practices including aromatherapy, herbal remedies, hydrotherapy, movement, and ancestral wisdoms to cultivate renewal and transformation of the spirit, mind, and body.

We specialize in reproductive wellness for people of all ages, however, we focus mainly on female-body specific concerns as this area is not centered in conventional practices. Our product line and services dedicated to this purpose is called “Reproductive Rites” and we are excited to share with our community these offerings and so much more
With encouragement from her loved ones, Lea continues to expand her offerings through Rites of Wellness Herbal Arts Academy, RoW Movement Rites, and RoW Reproductive Rites & Doula Services. Through these ventures, she nurtures a holistic approach to health and well-being, grounded in love and ancestral wisdom.
